Colocation Service at Data Center

Colocation America Networks currently owns and operates its state-of-the-art data centers in Downtown Los Angeles, offering complete redundancy in power, HVAC, fire suppression, network connectivity, and security. Colocation America Networks has an offering to fit any need, Our product offerings include private caged suites, cabinets, half-cabinets, tri-cabinets, and rackspace by the Unit. The datacenter facility sits atop multiple power grids, with Libert UPS battery backup power and dual diesel generators onsite.

Our HVAC systems are condenser units by Libert to provide redundancy in cooling coupled with ten managed backbone providers. Twelve more third party backbone providers are available in the building via cross connect. Fire suppression includes a pre-action dry pipe system including VESDA (Very Early Smoke Detection Apparatus) with over 700 smoke detectors.

Network Infrastructure

Our network architecture utilizes the Enterprise routing and switching engines from Juniper, Foundry and Cisco. We utilize Juniper M40 routers as border routers, Cisco 6500 series switches in our distribution layer and Cisco 6500 switches in our aggregation layers, and Cisco 3500 and 2900 series switches at the customer layer. Our network is fully meshed and redundant with 12 backbone providers.

Network Topology

Colocation America-NDC is connected to the internet with multiple fiber lines. These lines provide our Data Center with Tier 1 connectivity to numerous network carriers (AT&T, SBC, Sprint, C&W). It provides our clients with the fastest, most reliable Internet connectivity, unmatched by any other hosting provider in the industry. We currently have over 24GBps of bandwidth allocated to Colocation America-NDC and we are currently utilizing 19% of that bandwidth during peak times and 5% at off-peak times. Colocation America-NDC bandwidth is expandable up to double the capacity within hours. Additional bandwidth will be allocated as needed.

By purchasing bandwidth from multiple backbone providers, over 98% of the Internet is viewed as a private network from Colocation America-NDC. This network architecture provides Colocation America Networks customers with unparalleled network performance and network availability.

General Specifications:

UPS devices deployed in parallel redundant configuration with N+3 redundancy to diesel generators.
60 tons of air-conditioning to 15,000 sq. ft of static free and humidity-controlled (40% (+/- 5%)) server rooms keep Colocation America-NDC running at a chilly 58 degrees (+/- 2 degrees) which ensures maximum server reliability. All air-conditioning in configured with N+3 redundancy.
Emergency backup systems that include a 2000 KW diesel powered generator capable of powering Colocation America-NDC for more than 72 hours.
Colocation America-NDC contains a separate, limited-access room for its co-located servers.
BGP4 is being used on all border and core routers to ensure the closest and quickest path between every request is utilized.
